Tule River Indian Health Center, Inc.

Comprehensive Health Care For Native Americans

SERVICES AVAILABLE

We operate on a family basis and offer you the basic medical support you need for everyone in your family, from the new born to the elder in your family.  We are open Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with the exception of Tuesday mornings when we are closed for staff meetings and training.

We have available and an onsite laboratory to provide some in-house testing for our patients.  Available are Blood Sugar Levels, Hemoglobin (iron level), Hemoglobin A1C (average blood sugar for last 3 months), Basic Urinalysis, Lipid Panel and cholesterol level (patients are asked to fast for this test).  We have a new chemistry analyzer that provides results in 20 minutes for Complete Metabolic Panels.  We also provide outside laboratory services for our patients. Immunizations are always available to keep you and your children healthy. Our staff is more than happy to assist you in keeping your children up-to-date on their needed vaccinations. If you have had immunizations done at another facility, we ask that you bring these records with you.

Diabetic services are available with our on-site lab, literature, nurses, providers and our RD (Registered Dietitian) to do necessary exams and testing. Our registered dietitian is also a certified diabetes educator and is here to help patients with diet and healthy lifestyles for all health issues. Her special Healthy Plate program is designed to help patient’s control blood sugar with lifestyles rather than medications whenever possible. It is her mission to empower all patients at Tule River with nutritional information to improve their health, improve their quality of life, and prevent disease.

We offer Podiatry as one of our specialties for our patients with problematic feet and our diabetic patients.

We offer Optical services once weekly to serve our patients.

For our patients with back and joint pain, we offer  Chiropractic services here weekly.

Telemedicine   is a specialty we offer to our patients, bringing specialist from UC Davis live to our exam room using a telemedicine system so our providers can better meet your needs.

If a person requires more services than we can offer our CHS department will get the necessary referral information and make an appropriate appointment for you.

Transportation services to our Clinic are available through the Outreach Department.  Patients are asked to contact this department for the required qualifications.

Our Health Information Department is staffed by knowledgeable employees who are here 5 days a week to help you with health information questions regarding past and present medical records information. If one of our providers requires copies of your Medical Records, or if you are in need of having Medical Records transferred from another medical facility to Tule River Indian Health Center, they are here to help you.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask any of our staff.  We are here to assist you in every way possible.
