About TRICHI

Health with Respect

for Who We Are

Rooted in the Tule River community, we provide care that values tradition and builds a healthier future for all generations.

For generations, we’ve cared for one another —
and that commitment continues today.

Since 1973, Tule River Indian Health Center, Inc. (TRIHCI) has been a trusted source of healthcare, health education, and support for Native American communities in Tulare County. As a tribally operated, nonprofit organization, we believe in care that honors our culture, strengthens our community, and helps every person live well — in body, mind, and spirit.

Our Mission

To improve the health status and quality of life of those we serve.

Our Vision

Healthier Native American families and communities — supported by care that reflects our culture and strengthens our shared well-being.

What We Stand For

Quality care should be available to everyone in our community. We work to reduce barriers — such as distance, cost, and access — by offering medical, dental, behavioral health, emergency, and outreach services close to home. Every visit is guided by compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to honoring tribal identity.

Affiliated with the California Rural Indian Health Board (CRIHB)

As a proud member of the California Rural Indian Health Board, TRIHCI participates in statewide collaboration and advocacy to strengthen Native health programs. This affiliation ensures access to additional training, resources, and partnerships that enhance the quality of care for the Tule River community.

Guided by Our People

Our Board of Directors is made up of Tule River tribal members who lead with respect, integrity, and care for the community.  Their leadership keeps our mission strong and ensures every program reflects the needs and values of the people we serve.
